With winter approaching, garden waste collections will soon be ending for the season with the last green bin collection on Monday 30th November 2020. Please check when your last green bin collection day will be by using our online collection day finder at www.bedford.gov.uk/bins.
Garden waste collections will be starting up again on 1st March 2021.
General waste and recycling collections will continue during this period but keep an eye out online for the changes to bin collections over Christmas.
Waste Collection Services during lockdown
During this time of National Restrictions, collections of household waste and recycling will continue as normal.
Bulky waste collections will also continue but the service is very busy and bookings are being taken several weeks in advance. For more information about the bulky waste collection service please visit our website.
The Household Waste Recycling Centre on Barkers Lane will remain open. To manage demand and ensure that the public and staff can be socially distanced, an appointment must be booked before visiting the site. You can book an appointment online at www.bedford.gov.uk/hwrc.
