Bedford Borough Council is preparing a new Local Plan 2040 and is asking for your views. We are updating some Local Plan 2030 policies earlier than normal
in order to keep them in line with national policies, for example to do with the government’s new formula for housing growth, and the Oxford to Cambridge Arc.
Responses to the Local Plan Review consultation which took place last summer have helped us to decide that the plan should look ahead a further ten years to 2040, and to identify the policy areas that the new plan should cover.
