Light up a Life 2021 & Give a Gift Appeal

The Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Charity team is running our annual light up a life appeal, in memory or as a gift for loved ones. If you could promulgate this in your parish, notice boards and or social media this would be most appreciated!

Lights can be purchased up until Christmas Eve. Names will be displayed around our hospital, on social media and on our website from 1st November. Names are updated on a weekly basis. This is a great alternative to Christmas cards, as well as a beautiful way to recognise loved ones.

The official switching on ceremony will take place on Tuesday 30th November at 6pm at Bedford Hospital (in Captain Sir Tom Moore’s Garden) and Thursday 2nd December at 6pm at Luton and Dunstable Hospital in our St Mary’s Car Park!

We are hoping to boost everyone’s festive spirits with music and refreshments…everyone is welcome!

These wonderful lights will twinkle proudly in our hospitals for all to see!
 
All funds raised at Bedford will support our level one Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), where we nurse over 300 premature and sick full-term babies. 
 
All funds raised at the L&D will support our Neonatal Parent’s Accommodation. This facility provides a vital life line for families with critically ill infants.
