A6 Closure for Oakley Road Overbridge Investigations

Two emergency overnight closures of a stretch of the A6 dual carriageway to the northwest of Bedford are required towards the end of next week to facilitate investigations on Oakley Road Overbridge.  Specifically the A6 will be closed between the A6/Clapham road roundabout and the Lovell Road, Oakley junction, with traffic being diverted through the village of Clapham (please refer to the below plan for the closure extents).   The southbound carriageway will be closed between 10pm on Wednesday 18^th March and 6am on Thursday 19^th March, and the northbound carriageway will be closed between 10pm on Thursday 19^th March and 6am on Friday 20^th March.

Whilst this stretch of the road is closed, Bedford BC will also take the opportunity to complete pothole repairs along the affected stretch.
