Vegetation clearance near Stafford Bridge

Vegetation clearance from the upstream side of Stafford Bridge has been arranged to take place on 31st August and 1st September.  Unfortunately, due to the necessary craneage operations, this will result in a road closure of Stafford Causeway.  Bedford BC has liaised with the Transport team and placed this in school holidays and at off peak times to minimise the impact on busses.  It may be possible to let pedestrians and cyclists through on occasion, but there is inadequate space for equestrians or emergency vehicles.
