As you may have already been made aware via government press releases plans have been announced to lift the current nationwide Avian Influenza Prevention Zone housing measures for poultry and captive birds in England and Wales from 00:01 on Tuesday 18 April 2023. However, the Government has also advised that the Avian Influenza Prevention Zone mandatory biosecurity measures will remain in place for all birds. It is also recommended that anyone who intends to allow birds outside after April 18th should take action now to prepare the outside areas. Advice can be found at GOV.UK
