Co-opted appointments to the Oakley Primary Academy Local Governing Body

Published on: 17/11/17

Within Sharnbrook Academy Federation we want the best for all children, with our work focussing, as you would expect, on the quality of the education they receive. As is the case with all Sharnbrook Academy Federation schools, Oakley Primary Academy is suppo rted in this aim by their Local Governing Body (LGB) which is made up of representatives of the parent body, staff and other community representatives.

We are currently seeking to co - opt governors to join the Oakley LGB. This is an excellent way to find out more about how the school works and support the education available to the students who attend. As you will know, we have recently changed the age range within our schools and the support and challenge of an effective LGB representing our stakeholders will be vital as this progresses. We have a maximum of 5 co - opted governors on the (LGB) at any time.

If you are interested in this role then you will need to complete an application form tell ing us a little about yourself and what skillset you have to offer the board.

If yo u would like to find out more information on the role of the Local Governing Body or you would like an application form then please contact Tracy McDonagh via email at tmcdonagh(at) or by post Tracy McDonagh, c/o Great Ouse Primary Academy, Seaforth Gardens, Bedford, MK40 4TJ .

Application forms can also be collected from Oakley Primary Academy.
