Oakley Parish Council is seeking a litter picker and a bus shelter cleaner to start in October.  Both posts can be combined.


Litter Picker

Hours are 8 hours per week 1st November to 31st March and 9 per week 1st April to 31st October

Duties are to keep the village free from litter in the following areas:

a) The Village Green, including the children’s play area

b) The two fields adjacent to the Twin Bridges

c) Station Road including the hedges on both sides

d) All the Bus Shelters

e) Bottle Bank site

f) Pavenham Road once a month

g) Alleyways Dewlands/Grenidge Way/Lincroft/Ruffs Furze as necessary

h) Church Lane (over the Twin Bridges as far as the layby) and Lovell Road entrances to the village as necessary

i) Plus any other areas required, on an ad hoc basis, but within the contracted hours

2 of the 8 or 9 hours each week will be spent on a Saturday morning clearing the Village Green.


Bus Shelter cleaner

Six bus shelters to be cleaned once a month.  Shelters situated as follows:-

Station Road near junction with Reynes Drive
Lovell Road, by the Old School
High Street by no. 3
High Street near Reynes Drive junction
High Street by the Bedford Arms
Church Lane near junction with Dewlands
